WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT DESIGN OPTIONS?

 

CUSTOM DESIGN

one-on-one to create a design that is unique and made special just for you. Keep in mind that most custom projects can take anywhere from 3-6 months.

 

READY MADE COLLECTION

designs from our website are pre-designed pieces where you can customize your fonts and colors but  the design elements stay the same. This is perfect for if you don’t have much time and budget is tight.

 

SEMI-CUSTOM

a mix of custom + collection designs. It is when you take a pre-existing design from our collection and tweak it a bit further to fit your taste. This is a great option if you have some time but still on a budget.

 

PRINT METHODS

Digital-flat printing  is the most common printing method you see around. The surface is flat and smooth and all the ink is printing on a one time. We use a high quality, top of the line digital machine as well as the best quality paper in the market today.

 

Letterpress printing is a very old vintage method where the design is embossed into the paper giving it a rich texture. This is more time consuming and higher in cost due to the fact that each one is done by hand and only one color can be printed at one time so doing lot of colors mean higher cost. But the result is absolutely beautiful. We are able to use ultra thick rich cotton papers that is truly exquisite to hold and touch.

 

We also offer Foil, Engraving, Laser diecutting and non traditional methods.

 

CAN I MIX AND MATCH PRINT METHODS?

Yes! You can choose to splurge and do an invite in letterpress but do all the other items in flat printing. Our paper matches very close to the Cranes Pearl White brand.

 

PAPER

We use a 120lb digital paper for our flat printing (the thickest and most luxurious available for digital machines) and Cranes for letterpress.

WHEN SHOULD I ORDER?

Invitations should go out 6-8 weeks prior to your event. Leave about 1 month for RSVP deadline, more if it is a destination wedding. Save the dates can go out up to a year in advance.

 

HOW FAST CAN I GET MY ORDER?

Letterpress orders take 2-3 weeks to print after final approval. Digital-Flat printed pieces takes 1 week.

 

SAMPLES

Samples are $15 a set. Items vary but each suite consists of 1 letterpress card, 1 flat printed card, 1 label, 1 envelope along with customization option cards to show fonts, colors and other elements for your stationery needs.

 

PDF PROOF

Proofs are samples made with your design specifications, wording and theme. We will provide you a pdf format. You can print out at home and review. You will have 2 rounds of changes included in your estimate.

 

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN A CHANGE ROUND?

After we send you your pdf proof, you can make changes, request to see things in different colors/fonts and layout. Remember each round is important, to save on cost and time, please be sure to check all spelling and grammar.

 

MY JOB IS ON PRESS BUT I HAVE MORE CHANGES! WHAT NOW?!

Once after the free 2 rounds of changes and if you approved the final pdf, there is a change fee of $75. If it has already gone to press, fees will be assessed based on how far along the job is. If it has already been printed, it is too late to make any changes.

 

I HAVE A DESIGN, CAN YOU DO JUST DO THE PRINTING?

We only print our own design but please check out printicon.com in NYC they ship worldwide and offer all types of services.

Sales tax is applicable on orders shipped to addresses in the state of California and New York.

ORDER PROCESS

 

No 1: IDENTIFY YOUR DESIGN PROJECT

Is it a party, wedding, baby shower, bridal shower...?

 

No 2: REQUEST QUOTE or CONSULTATION

Contact us with a list of items you need (quantity, type of pieces, when you need it by etc). If you have any visual inspirations, please share with us. We love Pinterest!

 

No 3: ACCEPT QUOTE

After reviewing your information we will provide a written estimate.

To start, place a  50% non-refundable deposit. Collection orders get proofs sent within 24 hours. All custom work will be quoted turn around time.

 

No 4: PROOF STAGES

Collection orders get 1 round of change for free.

Semi-Custom gets 2 rounds of changes for free.

$35 per extra round of changes.

Custom gets 3 rounds. $50 per extra round of changes.

 

No 5: APPROVAL AND GO TO PRESS

Signed approval is required to go to press. Turn around time is noted above and will be confirmed again at time of going into production. Remainder of payment is due.

 

Please keep in note that any additional services such as calligraphy and assemble will add on to your turn around.
