Oh L'Amour Valentine

Here's a fun quick printable you can do at home or work on copy paper. I used tracing paper to see how it would look and love it! Think this one will go to my oh l'amour this year.

Download PDF here. I made 2 sizes- 1 full page for a print and 1 that can be folded like the card shown. No scissors or tape needed. Easy Peasy!

A Bear-y Valentine.

We made these last year for TJ's 2nd grade class. To help save time and sanity, I had him write 1 message and draw 1 bear face. I scanned and placed 2 up on 1 sheet. Then I ran it through my laser printer on colored cardstock from Michaels, TJ helped glue googly eyes and wrote all his friends names. It ended up looking like each one was written! Scroll down for detailed how to.

You can use glue gun or glue stick for the eyes. I placed a sheet of cookie sheet behind the mouth so the treats don't fall out but it's not a must.

Exacto knife makes it easy to cut around the corners of the mouth.

MATERIALS NEEDED:

Card stock- I like to use Michaels reflections since it's smooth to cut. There's more color selections in store vs online.

Exacto knife, Ruler, Black fine point marker (this set is always handy to have)

Access to a scanner and printer

Glassine sheets or baking sheets (from super market) optional

HOW TO:

Download this PDF if you would like to use the same bear image my son drew. Or have your child draw a bear's face on a lettersize sheet of paper.

First fold the paper in halves on both sides so you have 4 squares. Have your child draw on 1 side and write a message on the other. Have them repeat or scan/copy the one that is made and print/ paste next to the blank side of the sheet. This way you now have 2 up on 1 sheet. Make copies!

Cut in half so you have 2 pieces that are 4.25 x 11"

Have your child start writing the friends names while you start cutting out the mouth with the exacto knife.

Glue on the eyes and fold the card in half. Optional to place a glassine sheet behind the mouth. Place folded card into a clear envelope.

Fill with treats and seal the bag.

Taco-about a cute Valentine idea!

I saw these on oriental trading and couldn't resist. Small but holds just enough little treats and I like that it can be re-used!

Cupcake Liner Fortune Cookies

To celebrate Lunar New Year, we had a craft day at Tru's class to make these cupcake liner fortune cookies. Each child wrote their own fortune we used hot glue to make the shape of the cookies. This would also make for a fun Valentine's Gift!

Ikea Changing Table Hack

This was a fun project I did with Hellobee for Parents Magazine. They sent me a white Ikea changing table and I had to turn it into something that can be used post baby needs.  Read the full post here!

My son loves to play make believe and since our home is so small, I though it would be nice to create a space just for him. Get the full tutorial on how to make this your own here .
